New cardholders will earn an unlimited 2% cash back on purchases for the first year from account opening. There are no spending caps or categories to worry about, making it an excellent choice for everyday spending. After the first year, you’ll earn 1.5% back.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can potentially boost your cash-back earnings if you’re a Bank of America Preferred Rewards® member. Members can accelerate their rewards earnings by 25% to 75%. Your eligibility for this program is based on your Bank of America® and Merrill combined balances. That means instead of earning an unlimited 1.5%, you could earn 1.87%-2.62% cash back with Preferred Rewards. Just note that the Preferred Rewards bonus does not apply to the .5% first-year bonus.

The Bank of America® Unlimited Cash Rewards credit card comes with an introductory offer that applies to both purchases and balance transfers. You’ll get a 0% Intro APR for 15 billing cycles for purchases, and for any balance transfers made in the first 60 days. After the intro APR offer ends a 17.74% - 27.74% Variable APR will apply.

If you want to take advantage of the card’s introductory APR offer for balance transfers, keep in mind that you’ll need to act quickly. A 3% Intro balance transfer fee will apply for the first 60 days your account is open. After the Intro balance transfer fee offer ends, the fee for future balance transfers is 4%. However, these fees are likely much lower than the interest you are paying on another card. The ongoing APR will apply after that introductory period is over so it’s good to make a budget and pay that balance down within 15 billing cycles if possible.
